PRESENTED BY THE BUSONI PIANO COMPETITION AND STEINWAY & SONS
2020 has been a year of unprecedented challenges which effected many festivals and music competitions. To make the 63rd International Ferruccio Busoni Piano Competition happen, The Glocal Piano Project has been developed to hold the preliminary stages which is an important first lap on the way to the grand finals in 2021.
In cooperation with Steinway & Sons online and offline auditions will be held from November 7 to 15, 2020 at Steinway & Sons dealers all over the globe. More than 90 young pianists will be participating in 23 cities in 21 countries on four continents giving them the opportunity to play at or near their country of residence under the same, excellent conditions, featuring nothing less than a Steinway concert grand Model D.
The recordings of the auditions will be presented here with a 24-48 hour delay. The individual performances will be judged by the international jury and also by an online audience that is invited to vote as well.
